January wrap-up, looking ahead to February

The month finished below average for precipitation with just 0.66″ (-0.33″) being recorded at the Rochester International Airport, and snow at just 7.6″ (-4.6″).

The month of February will bring an increase in average temperatures and also daylight.

The average high temperature will go from 23° to 32° from beginning to end, while the average low will rise from 7° to 16°.

The month typically records just over one inch of precipitation and 10.7″ of snow.

Meanwhile, the month will add more than 70 minutes of daylight hours.
