IA man charged with murder in 2021 missing persons case, pleads not guilty

(ABC 6 News) – An Osage, Iowa man pleaded not guilty in the murder of a woman who went missing in 2021.

Nathan Gilmore, 23, appeared in Mitchell County court on Tuesday and entered the not guilty plea.

Gilmore is charged with premeditated first-degree murder for the death of Angela Bradbury, 28.

He was arrested on August 19, the same day investigators searched his home in Osage and found an apparent satanic shrine and information they believe connects him to Bradbury’s killing.

Bradbury was last seen alive in Mason City on April 6, 2021. She wasn’t reported missing until ten months later.

Meanwhile, a skull was discovered by a teenager at Greenbelt River Park near Mitchell, IA in July of 2021. The skull had been placed on a stick.

When Bradbury’s family contacted investigators about her disappearance in February of 2022 they submitted dental records and the skull was identified as Bradbury’s.

Her skull, and later the rest of her remains, were found in a park that is located between St. Ansgar and Gilmore’s home in Osage.

Gilmore is currently in the Mitchell County Jail on a $1 million cash bond.

A trial date for Gilmore is set for April 2023.
