Mild week ahead with rain and snow chance late

The “spring” like weather will continue with near-record or record setting temperatures possible through the middle of the week before a storm system brings precipitation to the area followed by cooler temperatures heading into the weekend.

High temperatures on Monday will reach the upper 40s to 50° which may get close to records for some.

The mild air will keep coming with highs expected to be near or in the low 50s from Tuesday through Thursday which will likely set records for many communities. It’ll be a windy period with gusts of 30-35 mph possible Wednesday and Thursday.

A storm system will bring the chance for rain on Thursday. Colder air to follow will lead to the chance of some rain and snow showers on Friday as temperatures fall into the 30s throughout the day.

A few scattered snow showers are possible on Saturday with high temperatures expected to be in the 30s. Little, to no accumulation is expected at this time.
