100 years since Milford Mine Disaster

(ABC 6 News) – Todays marks 100 years since the deadliest mining tragedy in Minnesota history: the Milford Mine Disaster.
Back in 1924, Foley Lake fell into the Milford underground mine, completely flood it in 15 minutes.
The flooding trapped 41 miners, seven people made it out alive.
A commemorative program will take place in Crosby today, honoring the miners who died and highlighting the stories of the survivors.
Programing starts tonight at 7 p.m. at Ironton High School.
