90,000 families to benefit from Minnesota tax credit
(ABC 6 News) – In Duluth, Minnesota Lieutenant Governor Peggy Flannigan touted the success of the state’s new child tax credit, nearly 90,000 families will get larger tax returns this year.
Two weeks into the tax filing season, qualifying families will receive an average credit of just under $1,400, totaling to more than $166 million in credits.
The tax credit of up to $1,750 per child is estimated to cut child poverty by up to one-third in Minnesota.
