Rochester business awarded $600,00 from DEED

(ABC 6 News) – The Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development will award a Rochester business over $600,000 for its latest project.

RION Inc. is working on what they call the “platelet exosome product.”

This new technology would be used to heal a variety of hard-to-treat body tissues.

The funding from DEED will be used to move the company into a new, larger location.

The total cost of the project is around $7 million and expected to create 22 jobs within the first three years.
