Cooler, yet still mild for February
Cool, Canadian air has settled back into the region and will keep our temperatures in the 30s through the weekend into early next week. While temperatures the last couple weeks were running nearly 30° above normal for early February, they’ll be closer to 5-10° above normal through the weekend. Early this coming week, highs will be nearing 40° if not hitting that mark with the help of sunshine.
Aside from a generally cool trend in front of us, we’re not looking at any excitement (or precipitation) from any storm systems until late next week at the earliest. Even then, the couple storms that could deliver a touch of snow to the region are looking to stay relatively weak if they even affect us.
Another push of colder air will arrive late next week and, at least for next Friday and Saturday, highs will remain below the freezing mark. This would be a return to more seasonable conditions for mid-February. Overall, despite being cooler than the last couple weeks, generally quiet and mild weather will continue.
