(ABC 6 News) – For the second year in a row, the DFL holds the majority in both the Minnesota House and Senate.

This year, some of the party’s priorities include revisions to the Minnesota Equal Rights Amendment. The state would ask voters to add protections for abortion, gender and LGBTQ+ rights to the state constitution.

The DFL will also include a proposal for medical aid in dying.

This bill would allow health care providers to prescribe life-ending drugs to terminally ill patients.

Several Republican lawmakers say they plan to introduce legislation aimed at pulling down the new state flag by putting it up for a public vote.
