Amish buggy crash in Fillmore County
(ABC 6 News) – At approximately 10:05PM on Friday, February 16th, the Fillmore County Sheriff’s Office received multiple reports that a vehicle had struck an Amish buggy with several occupants.
The crash occurred in the 29000 block of County Rd 1 in rural Spring Valley.
This happened on the same road as a crash that killed two children last fall.

Upon arrival, first responders noted 9 occupants of the buggy, 6 of which were transported to St. Mary’s hospital in Rochester. Their injuries are unknown at this time.
A deputy on the scene of the crash reported that the driver of the striking vehicle had fled the scene. The vehicle and driver were later found, at a residence in the City of Spring Valley.
Two of the six victims in the crash, ages 12 and 1, remain in the hospital as of Saturday morning, in stable condition.
The Fillmore County Sheriff’s Office, along with Minnesota State Patrol, are still investigating the cause of the crash.
