New healthcare coming to Albert Lea

(ABC 6 News) – For months, older residents in the Albert Lea area have been concerned about healthcare after MercyOne’s abrupt departure in August.
A new facility will now fill the gap.

United Hospital District from Blue Earth and the Mason City Clinic will now come to Freeborn County.
Albert Lea Health Care Coalition officials were able to keep an x-ray machine in Albert Lea, a big selling point for both providers.
The Mason City Clinic will open in April, while the United Hospital District will open in September.
