Shooting arrest in Forest City, man charged with attempted murder

(ABC 6 News) – A man in Iowa faces attempted murder charges after he was accused of pulling the trigger during a shooting in Forest City.
The incident happened on North 4 Street, blocks from the city’s court house, on Feb. 10, 2024.
Officers tracked down Jose Alberto Carrera Patino, arrested and charged him on Feb. 13.
According to the Iowa division of Criminal Investigations, though the incident took place on Feb. 10, it was not reported to Forest City Police Department until Feb. 12.
He is currently held on a $30,000 bond.
No injuries were reported in the shooting.
