Quiet, spring-like weather continues
Tuesday’s highs were in the upper-40s to lower-50s, and Wednesday is going to be just a little bit milder through southern Minnesota and northern Iowa. The overall weather pattern will remain quiet through the rest of this week into the start of next week. We have one, small break from unusual warmth at the end of this week, but even then, temperatures will remain well above average.
Winds will remain very light Tuesday night through Wednesday, and even with a partly cloudy sky and a light wind, temperatures won’t be much cooler than the upper-20s. Wednesday afternoon’s high temperatures will climb just slightly above where they were Tuesday, bringing highs into the lower-50s.
A bit of cooler air starts moving into the upper Midwest later this week, bringing temperatures down slightly Thursday and keeping highs in the 30s Friday. Even with that drop downward of about 15° to end the week, temperatures will recover quickly on Saturday with highs returning to the upper-40s. There aren’t any storm systems offering up precipitation in the near-term. The next opportunity for rain or snow looks to be around Tuesday to Wednesday of next week.
