New dog park to be built in Rochester
(ABC 6 News) – A new dog park is set to be built at Cook Park just outside of downtown Rochester.
This park will join two other parks that have been built already on opposite sides of town, allowing for residents in downtown or close to it to have an option closer to their residence.
Michael Schaber is the Parks & Forestry operations manager for the city of Rochester. He highlights some of the reasons behind why this dog park is being added. “Bigger parking lot area for people, easier to get to, and more of a central location.”
The park is set to be around 2,000 square meters and parts for the park have been ordered. Crews just need to install the park.
The hope is for the park to be completed as early as mid-spring, but the milder the weather is, the faster the park will be able to be finished.
