Red Flag Warning issued Monday, outdoor burning not recommended

The National Weather Service has issued a **RED FLAG WARNING** for northern Iowa in the ABC 6 Weather First area and throughout the majority of Iowa on Monday.

The warning will be in effect from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM.

Meanwhile, elevated fire weather conditions are also in effect for all of southeast Minnesota through Monday afternoon.

The combination of record-breaking temperatures, gusty winds, and low humidity and dry vegetation will be enough fuel for any outdoor fires to start and spread rapidly, therefore any outdoor burning is not recommended.
