One person dead after shooting in Riceville

(ABC 6 News) — A 34-year-old man died after being shot on Friday, February 23.
According to the Mitchell County Sheriff’s Office, the shooting happened around 7:15 p.m. in the 500 block of Walnut Ave. When officers got there, they found Acea Spiegeler with a gunshot wound. Spiegler was pronounced dead at the scene.
Authorities believe this was an isolated incident and say there is no threat to the public. They believe the parties involved knew each other.
