Smoke from Texas wildfires could move into the region Thursday and Friday
More than a million acres have burned in the Texas Panhandle in recent days, and some of that smoke will be blown our direction over the next couple days. It’s difficult to say exactly when and how much, but a computer model that tracks smoke plumes is indicating some of that is coming our way. Some of the smoke may be near ground level. It doesn’t look like it’s going to affect all of southern Minnesota and northern Iowa at the same time, but it does look to come in a couple waves. One Thursday, and another plume Thursday.
