(ABC 6 News) – On Thursday, the Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development offered a statewide business series in Rochester.

The event was an opportunity for entrepreneurs in the Med City to meet one-on-one with local and state economic experts who can help them grow their business.

“Working at DEED and with our partners across the region, we’re making sure that there are resources and funding vehicles to help for all stages of that business journey,” said Neela Mollgaard, the executive director of the Office of Small Business and Innovation.

Mollgaard also says small businesses employ about 75% of the state’s workers.

The DEED hopes tonight’s event will help business owners connect with the resources available to them
