Records a Plenty!!

The record-breaking warmth has made a return this weekend. Several communities managed to break record highs on Sunday, topping out in the mid-60s.

While not everyone broke record highs, more of them are expected to be broken on Sunday as we all top out in the low to mid-70s. Morning lows will be up close to 50° for some thanks to overnight clouds and southerly winds.

As of March 2, 2024, we have broken a total of 16 records in Rochester since December 1, 2023. Nine of these were record warmest highs while seven were record warmest lows. This total will almost certainly be at 18 by the time Sunday, March 3 is over. If Rochester hits 70° of warmer (which is in the forecast) it would be the earliest in a calendar year where we have had a 70° day in the Med City. We hit 69° in Rochester last Tuesday.
