Gusty winds for Sunday golfing

Soldiers Field announced that the golf course will be opening up for the season on Sunday. That does not mean it will be the most ideal conditions for golfing. Gusty winds out of the south throughout the majority of daylight tomorrow will make it extremely difficult to keep your ball on the fairway. This applies for any other open golf courses as well.

These winds combined with low humidity (although not as low as last week) will also create an elevated fire risk. Fires are not advised until during Sunday evening when winds calm down and we cool off. A Red Flag Warning is in place to our south through most of Iowa, but we still have an elevated fire risk locally as well.
