(ABC 6 NEWS) – A judge has denied a request from the man accused of killing his pregnant girlfriend and her 2-year-old daughter to withdraw his guilty plea.

Renard Carter pleaded guilty to two counts of second-degree murder and one count of second-degree murder of an unborn child in July as part of a plea agreement.

The next month a motion was filed to recall the guilty plea. A plea affidavit filed by Renard Carter’s attorneys on August 5, states that he was allegedly coerced into entering the guilty pleas as a basis for his withdrawal.

A judge denied the request to withdraw the guilty plea.

Carter’s sentencing is scheduled for December 9.

Rochester police found the bodies of his girlfriend Keona Foote, her unborn child and daughter at the Olympik Village Apartments last September.

According to the criminal complaint, Carter also threatened to kill a previous partner who resided in South Carolina if that previous partner did not allow Carter to see his children.

As the investigation continued, officers learned that Carter appeared to post videos on social media that depicted the killing of Foote.
