Celebrating Truck Driver Appreciation Week

(ABC 6 News) – Global logistics company C.H. Robinson honored truck drivers on Monday for their hard work delivering goods the world depends on.

Albert lea held its inaugural in-person event to thank truck drivers with food and prizes.

“It’s not just work, it’s a lifestyle,” Cody Griggs, the senior product manager at C.H. Robinson, said. “It’s a 24 hour a day job, and so I think that as you drive down the highway and you see truckers, just give them space and be appreciative. They work a really hard job. Just say thank you when possible.”

C.H. Robinson is also giving away $100,000 to truck drivers to recognize the 100,000 miles on average they travel per year.

Each day 10 winners will be announced to win $1,000.

The sweepstakes runs until Sept. 23.
