Rochester Pride returned Saturday
(ABC 6 News) — Rochester pride returned this weekend and featured activities for all ages with vendors, food trucks and entertainment from local artists.
The Rochester Rainbow Choir — which was formed last year and is made up entirely of LGBTQ + people — opened the show with seven songs that were written by artists or artists that have shown their support for the LGBTQ+ community.
The director of the Rainbow Choir said this was one of the biggest prides in Rochester that he’s been to which he says signifies acceptance.
“I can see that by the number of people that have turned out, and of all different ages and genders and races and ethnicities, everybody’s here, and everybody’s having a good time and being positive and supportive,” Dylon Starr, Director of the Rochester Rainbow Choir, said.
Rochester Pride will hold After Pride events on Sunday morning and Sunday night.
