The Drought of 2023-24 has come to an end
Thanks to recent rain over the last few weeks (and months), the drought that started last May has now come to an end. While there are still 6-12 months deficits that justify “abnormally dry” conditions, there are no longer any counties in southern Minnesota or northern Iowa classified in Moderate to Exceptional drought. Here’s a look at today’s U.S. Drought Monitor update.
