A couple rain chances, cooler weather by next weekend

Well not a lot of us got rain Sunday evening. Those who did saw A LOT of rain… and hail. Up around Highway 14 was where all the action took place. We will get a bit of a break before more thunderstorms arrive closer to daybreak. Thunderstorms on the Monday morning commute do have the potential to have strong wind gusts as well as heavy rain. Some communities could see as high as an inch of rainfall on top of what we got Sunday night up around Highway 14.

We also still have storms in the forecast late Tuesday into Wednesday. Our whole area is under a marginal risk (1/5) for severe weather. There is also no current threat for widespread severe weather, but that could change over the next couple days. If anything, the primary threat with these thunderstorms would be strong winds.

After a few more stragglers behind the Tuesday storms on Wednesday, rain chances will wrap up for the week. Highs will be in the upper-70s and/or low-80s each of Monday through Wednesday before we are in the low-70s heading into next weekend.
