ALERT DAY: A few, lingering storms possible until about Midnight

Wednesday is an ALERT DAY due to the potential of strong-to-severe thunderstorms across the Weather First area.

The majority of rain, thanks to some stronger storms early Wednesday afternoon, has already fallen for us today. A few thunderstorms can’t be ruled out later Wednesday evening and night due to an approaching cold front.

The main threats for any stronger thunderstorms will be damaging wind gusts followed by large hail, if we do receive any more storms. Heavy downpours are also possible which could lead to some localized ponding or flooding.

Another batch of showers with a few thunderstorms in the mix is likely Thursday from about 9am until about 3pm. These storms are likely to remain below severe levels but will contain some heavy downpours.
