City of Austin offers free sandbags to residents

(ABC 6 News) — The City of Austin announced in a Facebook post on Friday that it will be offering free sand and sandbags to residents.
With excessive amounts of rain in the forecast, flooding is a possibility. Residents can pick up the sand pages at the Street Department warehouse. The address is 1601 11th Drive NE.
Residents choosing to pick up sandbags will need to follow the posted signage when they arrive.
