Five injured, three critically in I-90 crash near Austin
(ABC 6 News) – Five people were injured in a two-vehicle crash on Interstate 90 Thursday afternoon. According to the Minnesota State Patrol, a Jayco MTRH and a Chevrolet Silverado were heading west, when they collided near Mile Marker 176.
William Byassee (76), Kimberly Byasee (75), and Abigail Byassee (13) of Hamburg, Pennsylvania who were traveling in the Jayco, all suffered life-threatening injuries and were transported to area hospitals.
Logan Michael Murphy (21) and Jon Bergstrom (19) of Austin, Minnesota, who were in the Silverado, suffered non-life-threatening injuries.
The MSP reports everyone involved was wearing a seatbelt and alcohol was not a factor in the crash.
A GoFundMe has been created to help with the family’s living expenses while in Minnesota, travel expenses and medical expenses.

(ABC 6 News) – A crash near Exit 175 in Austin has been reported by the Minnesota State Patrol. Currently, crews are working on a number of bridges repair projects in the area.
It is a multiple vehicle crash, including what appears to be a camper. At this time, eastbound traffic is not impacted. However, westbound traffic is diverted through Austin County Road 46 with a detour in place.
There are at least four injuries being preliminarily reported at this time. The condition of those who have been injured is unknown at this time.
