Man with warrants in multiple Minnesota and Iowa counties arrested in Rochester
(ABC 6 News) – A man with several warrants for his arrest in both Minnesota and Iowa was arrested in Rochester Wednesday.
The Olmsted County Sheriff’s Office received information that he was at a hotel on the 4000 block of West Frontage Road in northwest Rochester.
36-year-old Nathan Gossman has active warrants out of Fillmore and Goodhue Counties in Minnesota as well as warrants in Allamakee and Winneshiek Counties in Iowa along with several felony cases pending in Olmsted County.
Around 6:30 p.m. officers with the Rochester Police Department and deputies with the sheriff’s office arrived at the hotel to arrest Gossman. Gossman tried to escape through the back but was met by more deputies. He then went up to the second floor where he was taken into custody.
Deputies located two baggies of what is believed to be meth on Gossman as well as drug paraphernalia.
Gossman’s arrest adds an additional possible charge of 5th-degree controlled substance possession.
