RPD: Catalytic converter, tools taken from woman’s home
(ABC 6 News) – The Rochester Police Department is investigating after a catalytic converter and other items were taken from a woman’s home this week.
Police said around 9:30 a.m. Wednesday a 65-year-old woman was at her home on the 1600 block of 23rd Ave SE when she looked outside and saw someone underneath her car. Police said the woman opened her window and yelled at the man who then got up and ran off.
The woman went outside and noticed the catalytic converter had been taken from her car.
Police said the woman also noticed a back door to the house had been forced open. Tools and a vacuum cleaner had been taken. The woman estimated this happened sometime between 5 p.m. on Tuesday and 9:30 a.m. on Wednesday.
No suspects have been arrested as of Thursday morning.
