(ABC 6 News) – With Christmas just a week away, ABC 6 News is still collecting toys for our Toys for Tots campaign.

A group of girls from Helping Hands Hopeful Hearts from the Adams area dropped off over 100 toys at our TV station in Rochester.

"All of us get to wake up on Christmas morning and like feel the joy of getting presents and we want to share that joy with other kids that maybe don’t get to. This is kind of like we know that we’re helping kids but we don’t really get to see it happen but in our hearts, we know that we are and it feels really good to know that we’re bringing joy to other kids," Katelyn McCabe, a member of Helping Hands Hopeful Hearts, said.

The girls club collected toys and monetary donations for the past two to three weeks.

Toys for Tots is currently asking for toy donations for mainly ages 10 and up, including teenagers.

Toys can be dropped off at our TV station in the TJ Maxx Plaza in Rochester through Dec. 23.
