Rain chances mainly holding off until late weekend
The weather pattern will be fairly quiet this week with rain chances mainly holding off until the upcoming weekend.
A cool front sliding through on Tuesday morning may lead to a brief shower or sprinkles for some especially near the I-35 corridor, although most will stay dry.
A tropical cyclone in the Caribbean will likely form into a hurricane in the Gulf of Mexico with a target landfall later this week along the Florida panhandle.
It remains to be seen how the system will evolve once it makes landfall, but the remnants look to rotate around a cutoff low pressure system that will meander across the lower Mississippi River Valley later this week into the weekend.
The system may sneak rain into the area on Sunday heading into next week, however the latest trends are shifting it further east so that may leave the area dry.
The system is still several days away so expect details to get better refined as it gets closer.
