New poll shows most Iowans oppose new abortion ban

(ABC 6 News) — A new poll shows most Iowans oppose the state’s new abortion ban.

The new law bans abortion after fetal heartbeat is detected which is usually around six weeks before most women know they are pregnant.

The poll shows 59% of Iowans oppose the six-week abortion ban, including 69% of women. 64% say abortion should be legal in all or most cases.
