Wild game postponed Tuesday over COVID-19 outbreak in Carolina locker room

(KSTP) – The Minnesota Wild’s home game Tuesday night has been postponed due to a COVID-19 outbreak among Carolina Hurricanes players, the NHL announced.
According to a news release, four more Carolina players — Jordan Staal, Andrei Svechnikov, Ian Cole and Steven Lorentz — entered COVID-19 protocol on Wednesday. Sebastian Aho and Seth Jarvis, along with a member of the Hurricanes’ training staff, had gone into COVID-19 protocol a day earlier.
The decision to postpone Tuesday’s game came after consulting medical groups from the Hurricanes, the league and the players’ union.
The Hurricanes announced back in September that 100% of their players were vaccinated.
The NHL is expected to give a further update on Wednesday.
