UPDATE: Hwy 14 reopened after tractor strikes railroad bridge and blocks road

(ABC 6 News) — According to Minnesota State Patrol, at 12:49 p.m. on Wednesday, an oversized load semi was pulling a flatbed trailer with a tractor and hopper box on it on Hwy 14.

Around mile marker 220, the tractor struck a railroad crossing bridge and caused the tractor and hopper box to come off the trailer and block the road.

MnDOT put a detour in place until 3 p.m., and no injuries were reported from the crash.

(ABC 6 News) — Highway 14 currently is closed in both directions near Eyota, according to 511 MN.

The closure is due to a crash in the area, and MnDOT expects the road to be closed until 5 p.m. A detour is currently in operation, which MnDOT is asking drivers to utilize until the road reopens.

ABC 6 News is still working to obtain information regarding the crash.
