Clouds depart by Sunday, mild & breezy
Clouds will stick around tonight, giving way to a mostly sunny sky for Sunday, and mild temperatures across the area for this time of year.
Widespread cloud cover has swept across southeastern Minnesota and northern Iowa this evening, and will continue to hang around the area through a decent chunk of the night. A warm front passes through late this evening, leading to a brief warm up in temperatures before a cold front passes through early Sunday morning.
Cloud cover decreases by dawn, allowing for temperatures to drop into the mid/upper 30F’s, to low 40F’s across the area. It will be breezy, with south winds shifting to southwest at 10 to 15 mph, gusting up to 30 mph at times during the evening.
Skies will remain on the mainly sunny side through most of the day on Sunday, with a few cirrus type clouds possible across northern Iowa. The sunshine will allow temperatures to climb into the low to mid 50F’s across the area, making for a beautiful mid-November day!
It will also remain breezy through the day Sunday, with winds out of the west around 10 to 15 mph, gusting up to 25 mph at times.
As it stands now, Sunday appears to be the last day for quite some time we have a chance to see some prolonged sunshine, making tomorrow a great day to get out and enjoy the nice weather while it lasts!
