Charles City fire chief resigns
(ABC 6 News) – Charles City fire chief, Eric Whipple has resigned, according to the city administrator.
Whipple submitted his resignation on September 22. His last day of employment will be November 2.
Chief Whipple has served the Charles City community for the past 21 years in various roles including: public safety dispatcher, career firefighter and the last 10 years as fire chief.
The city says they would like to thank Eric for his many years of service and dedication to the community, and to wish him the very best as he moves on to his next adventure.
