(ABC 6 News) – The History Center of Olmsted County announced the return of the Creepy Doll contest.
The History Center says this year’s exhibit features a take on “cult cinema,” paying homage to the theater experience of yesteryear.
Visitors will have the opportunity to play “guess the year” with old theater showtimes, take photos of and with previous years winners, and help select this years creepiest doll.
“Many of the dolls we’ve had in our collection a long time some date back to the mid 1800s, so we do collect material, artifacts from Olmsted County’s’ history so that support the narrative of our community,” said Progenitor of the Creepy Dolls contest Christine Rule.
The creepy dolls are on display at the History Center. Polls will close at 12:00 p.m. on October 29, but in-person voting will still be available until 7pm at the Creepy Doll Cocktail Party (age 21+ event) at the Rochester Art Center, where the winner of ‘creepiest doll’ will be announced.
Voting online is also available HERE.
The Creepy Doll Contest started in 2019.
