(ABC 6 News) – According to a new study by the CDC, if you are fully vaccinated and have a booster you are 90 percent less likely to end up in the emergency room or the hospital.
Children’s Minnesota was a part of this new report, which also looked into immunity levels which doctors say tend to fall about five months after your second dose.
"What the study found was having a booster brings your immunity levels back up and also prevents those urgent care and ER visits and hospitalizations and that it’s supercritical that people continue to get vaccinated number one, then get a booster shot," said Dr. Anupam Kharbanda, Co-Author of study, Chief of Critical Care Services at Children’s Minnesota.
This study included both the delta and omicron variants of COVID.
