(ABC 6 News) – As we’ve reported, House Democrats passed legislation less than a week ago to strengthen a landmark civil rights era voting law being touted by party leaders as progress against voting restrictions advanced by Republicans.
The bill, which is part of a broader Democratic effort to announce a sweeping overhaul of elections was approved by 7 votes with no Republican support.
A Virtual Democracy Town Hall on voting and election issues and integrity hosted by Tina Liebling, State Representative, Representative Emma Greenman and Representative Liz Boldon was held August 30 and can be found here.
