Rochester Salvation Army holding winter coat distribution event Wednesday

(ABC 6 News) – Winter is quickly approaching and the Rochester Salvation Army wants to make sure everyone has a winter coat and is dressed warm for the upcoming season.
A winter coat distribution event will be held Wednesday from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at their Corps Community Center location, 20 1st Ave. NE in downtown Rochester.
It will be a walk-in event with no registration required.
The Salvation Army expects approximately 1,000 people to come through and get winter coats. They are short on coats for children and will be accepting donations throughout the duration of Wednesday’s event.
