(ABC 6 News) – Google and its features can be difficult to navigate, especially for seniors.
125 Live in Rochester hosted a Google overview class for adults on Thursday night to enhance their computer experience, learn the basics of what Google has to offer and to ask questions.
This was one of the many technology classes the center for active adults has hosted, including scam prevention classes.
“So it kind of I think just keeps the older adults and really the aging population in tune with the different technology offerings that they could use in their everyday lives or even those that are still working. So, Google is just one of them but the scam classes as well really taught older adults how to avoid those,” Katie Helwig, technology instructor at 125 Live, said.
125 Live offers a variety of different classes on a rotating basis such as getting rid of cable and switching to streaming services, how to manage your phone storage, and how to sell things online such as on Facebook.
