(ABC 6 News) – Rochester Police Officer Carrie Riggott retired Friday from RPD. She spent over 25 years with the police department and two years as a reserve officer on top of that.
She said Friday felt very surreal. She is not sure what she will do next. Riggott said her job has been her life for 27 years.
"The number one thing that I have loved about working with this community is no matter how the overall climate gets the citizens of this town have always come together and have always supported us," Riggott said.
Officer Riggott wanted to thank the citizens of Rochester for always supporting Rochester police.
