Police investigating shots fired at motorist in Mason City

(ABC 6 News) – The Mason City police department is investigating a report of shots fired at another motorist Wednesday afternoon.

At 12:45 p.m. multiple witnesses reported a vehicle speeding past another firing gunshots as it passed in the 1000 block of 1st St NW.

Both vehicles then fled the scene.

Later, the victim’s vehicle was located in Mason City with bullet holes. Police later found the driver of the damaged car. The gunfire missed the driver of the overtaken car. Police continue to investigate this case.
