Gophers 2023 football schedule released
(ABC 6 News) – The Big Ten conference released its 2023 football schedule on Wednesday.
The Gophers will open the season on Thursday, August 31, at home versus Nebraska.
The schedule features seven home games for Minnesota and five road games.
The Gophers full schedule is below (home games are bolded):
- Aug. 31 – Nebraska
- Sept. 9 – Eastern Michigan
- Sept. 16 – at North Carolina
- Sept. 23 – at Northwestern
- Sept. 30 – Louisiana
- Oct. 7 – Michigan
- Oct. 21 – at Iowa
- Oct. 28 – Michigan State
- Nov. 4 – Illinois
- Nov. 11 – at Purdue
- Nov. 18 – at Ohio State
- Nov. 25 – Wisconsin
The 2023 football season kicks off the conference’s new media rights agreements with CBS, FOX/FS1, Big Ten Network, NBC and NBCUniversal’s Peacock. The conference announced the new 7-year, $7 billion deal in August.

The Big Ten currently has 14 members, however in 2024, Southern California and UCLA are scheduled to join the Big Ten, adding the Los Angeles market to its footprint.
