#1 Austin BBB tops #3 Winona in Section 1AAA title game

(ABC 6 News) — The farewell tour for Austin Boys Basketball Head Coach Kris Fadness will go on for another day.
Coach Fadness’ top-seeded Packers claimed victory Friday over third-seed Winona in the Section 1AAA Championship, 46-39.
It was tough slogging for both teams, neither side got to double-digit points until around halfway through the first half.
Regardless, the Packers were able to send its fans back to Spamtown happy with plays from Kaden Murley and Aten Manyuon. Murley cleaned up a failed three-point attempt for two while Mayuon slammed down a jam off a stolen pass thrown his way.
Jack Lang led all Packers with 12 points while Cham Okey pitched in 10 of his own.
The Class AAA State Tournament will begin on Tuesday as the Packers await their seeding for the event.
