Additional funding approved by Senate committee for Preston Veterans Home

(ABC 6 NEWS) – On Thursday, the Senate Veterans Committee approved additional funding for the three new veterans homes coming to Minnesota.

The Preston home is expected to be completed by summer 2023.

With this new bill, the Preston home would get $6.9 million, Bemidji’s new home would get $4.3 million, and Montevideo would get $5.2 million.

This funding will provide the homes with improvements for construction, design, and equipping of the site that was not in the initial appropriation.

The bill will move to the Senate’s Finance Committee for a hearing.
