Albert Lea Schools release Safe return to school plan; strongly recommended masks
(ABC 6 News) – Albert Lea Schools Safe relesaed its Return to School Plan which includes strongly recommending mask-wearing.
Albert Lea Area Schools says that they are committed to providing a safe and healthy environment for all of our students, employees, and the public we serve. In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, the following Safe Return to School Plan was developed to provide guidance to mitigate the potential for transmission of COVID-19 in our workplaces and communities.
Albert Lea Schools says they require full cooperation among our administration, employees, students and families, and members of the public. Only through this cooperative effort can we establish and maintain the safety and health of our students, employees, and the community we serve.
In the Safe Return to School Plan, Albert Lea Area Schools says that masking is "strongly recommended" for staff and students who are not fully vaccinated from COVID-19. Masking is one safety precaution in addition to daily check-ins, temperature checks, cleaning and sanitizing, as a mitigation effort to prevent COVID-19. They also say that masking is required on all school buses.
