Annual "Play it Forward" fundraiser close to goal, ends with celebration Thursday

ROCHESTER, Minn. (ABC 6 News) – The annual "Play it Forward" fundraiser kicks off Tuesday and goes through Thursday. The fundraiser is virtual Tuesday through Thursday with an in-person celebration Thursday night.

The fundraiser benefits Spark and the goal is to reach $60,000 this year. Currently, the fundraiser is 2/3 of the way to the goal. Money from this year’s fundraiser will be used to allow families who have immunocompromised members to come to the museum.

"We saw a great need this year for having more access for children who have health concerns and with the pandemic are unable to come during our open hours."

Thursday night "attendees will enjoy carnival-themed culinary delights and cocktails provided by Bleu Duck Kitchen and Jack’s Bottle Shop. Enjoy DJ by Aventi, carnival games, Bob the Magician, silent auction, live auction, and a celebrity pie-throwing contest, James Rabe! Celebrate the impact Spark has on our community thanks to our many generous partnerships."
