Austin and Lourdes GBB begin State Tournament journeys

(ABC 6 News) — Two local squads will begin a hard path to their respective championships.

As the state tournament begins for girls basketball on Wednesday, the Austin Packers will represent Section 1AAA as they face the Becker Bulldogs in the first round at 10 AM.

Meanwhile, the Section 1AA champion Lourdes Eagles will clash with the Albany Huskies at 8 PM.

Both games are at Williams Arena in Minneapolis and can be seen on Minnesota Prep Spotlight.

Hayfield will also be in the Twin Cities, participating in the Class A Tournament. However, their game against Cass Lake-Bena isn’t until Thursday.
