Bally Sports streaming service launches this fall for Wolves, Wild fans
(ABC 6 News) – Fans of the Timberwolves and Wild will soon have a new way to watch their teams.
Diamond Sports Group, a subsidiary of Sinclair Broadcast Group, today announced its direct-to-consumer streaming service, Bally Sports+, will officially launch across all 19 Bally Sports regional sports network brands on September 26.
Streaming will be available on mobile devices, tablets, or online.
The streaming service will include only two Minnesota sports teams – the Wild and Timberwolves.
The company says it doesn’t yet have the rights to stream Minnesota Twins broadcasts, and there was also no mention of Minnesota Lynx and Minnesota United broadcasts.
As of now, fans are only able to watch Bally Sports North through cable, satellite or DirecTV’s Stream plan.
When it launches, Bally Sports+ will cost $19.99 per month or $189.99 per year. That will include Wild and Timberwolves games, as well as pre-and post-game shows.
